Acid Attacks against Women

My professional aspirations in the journalism field is to work as a foreign correspondent/documentary filmmaker chronicling the issues that women and children face in third-world countries, so even though this article may not be wholly related to women and the news in America, it still deals with women and I found it very interesting.

In several countries, for example, Pakistan, Colombia, and even Canada, men are using acid to destroy women's lives due to them being either "vain," too "independent," etc.

This article gives a brief insight into what is going on regarding this new trend of "acid attacks." It seemed to be expected from countries like Pakistan and somewhat, Colombia, but when westernized Canada gets included in the list, then we can assume we have a problem.

Domestic violence has existed for as long as we know it, and it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. It is utterly sad that these kinds of attacks are still going on around the world, especially in the west.
